Because of several dead-end streets which don’t show up well on some maps and on some GPS systems, its best to turn into Torridge Street from Thames Street – the main Street (and also Highway 1).
If you are heading south make a right turn into Torridge; turn left into Torridge if you are heading north on Thames.
After a block Torridge begins to climb steeply. At the top – a T junction – turn left on to Warren Street. Drive to the second-last property on your left – 14 Warren St – notice at gate “Homestay Oamaru”. Go down the long concrete drive (room to turn at far end)
